Up To The Minute Celiac News on R.O.C.K. Charlotte

The celiac and gluten free communities are abuzz with news this week...

We found out that you can pay a small fortune to have a dog trained in Slovenia to sniff out gluten contamination in your foods. Yes, I said Slovenia! Read about our gluten companions here: Gluten Companions

The American Celiac Disease Alliance is petitioning the FDA to finally define the labeling standards for gluten free foods. Contact them through this link: FDA Vote to make your opinion count!

Every parent wants to provide meals for their families that are nutritious, healthy, and taste good but most of all that are quick and easy. There are many excellent websites and online resources for gluten free cooking. We access them all the time in order to find a new recipe that our families will devour and proclaim they can't tell it is gluten free. Children can be the hardest critics of all to please.

Eat A GF Pizza & Give to Celiac Research

R.O.C.K. Charlotte will be meeting with the Charlotte Celiac Connection at their monthly Fuel Pizza
meeting on January 8th, 2011 at 12 noon. A portion of all pizza sales goes to the Celiac Disease Research Center.

If you haven't tried out Fuel's GF pizza yet, we think it is one of the best offered in Charlotte, N.C.
with an extremely conscientious staff to serve it and take precautions.
