Here's To A Gluten Free New Year

Today is the start of a new day
Tomorrow is the start of a new year

We are facing a new year of gluten free living with optimism because of the possibilities coming to us.

New testing, new treatments for diseases and new products are all on the hopeful horizon of 2010.

If we all treated each new day with the same importance as New Year's Day
What kind of wonderful things could we each accomplish?

R.O.C.K. Charlotte would like to thank all of those who support, aid and develop

to help those with Celiac Disease and anyone living a gluten free diet out of necessity.

We wish you all a Happy New Year in 2010!

Believing In Miracles Isn't Just For Those With Celiac Disease

Just when you think your struggle's are hard
Or that you can't possibly face challenges that face you,
Something comes along to give you a reminder that the impossible isn't that impossible at all.

Faith is her name - A dog who gives hope to soldiers that come home wounded.
She visits those who feel badly and reminds them that miracles do happen after all.

Remember those who have sacrificed for all of us...

Gluten Free Pizza Pie ~ That's Amore

Our weekly visit to the Davidson Farmer's Market gave us an opportunity to try a frozen handmade pizza crust from the folks at Gluten-Free Italian.
It was yummy stuff and how convenient!
Just take it out of the freezer, let it thaw a bit, and top with your favorite toppings before popping it in the oven.
Our little CD taste tester said it was as good as my home made pizza crust.

We haven't tried their pasta yet, but that's a definate future purchase because we really miss good pasta.
Check them out and give them a try...

Did you know?

Many people say the pizza originated from Mediterranean Flatbreads or Chinese Green Onion Pancakes.
But the beloved crusts of modern day originated from the preferred food of the poor people of Naples, Italy in the 18th century.
That means pizza is about 300 years old!
